Mojo picks up a Runner Up Best in Show
Saturday July 5th will be etched permanently into the memories of owners, Olivia and Dan, as the date that Mojo came of age. At Exhibition Park, Canberra, Mojo received his first ever Major Award when General Specials judge, Barbara Skilton awarded Mojo Runner Up Best in Show.
Earlier in the day, Utility Group judge, Bob Cleland from South Australia awarded Mojo Best of Breed commenting that "he looks like he could move that building". So impressed was Judge Cleland that he awarded Mojo Best in Group amongst strong competition from the other Utility Breeds. This was enough to make Olivia and Dan's day. They were estatic with the result but the celebrations were not over yet. Entering the General Specials ring not expecting much more than simply being looked at, Dan was over the moon when Mojo was picked out for the Runner Up award. Having given up any hope of an award, a belated but very loud cheer came from Mojo's small band of supporters as they saw Dan leaving the line-up to collect his ribbon. Another ribbon was forthcoming as the Open in Show award became automatic for Mojo.
