Australian Champion Bordalaska Braveheart "Mojo" returned to his favourite stomping ground for a memorable win at the
Royal Canberra Dog Show.
The site of such results as Best Australian Bred in Show and more recently, Runner Up Best in Show, Exhibition Park in
Canberra, has seen Mojo win his first Royal Best of Breed against top quality competition. The nation's capital has once
again seen Mojo at his best. After being overlooked early in his Open Class, Mojo's work ethic and effortless gait prompted
judge, Keith Lovell from South Australia to elevate him into second position after several runs around the ring. Finally, after one
last tour of the ring Mojo was placed first in the strong Open class consisting of a Grand Champion, several Australian
Champions and an American Import.
Returning to the ring for Dog Challenge, Mojo raised the bar beating a fine field of class winners
followed up by taking out Best of Breed. Returning two days later for Best in Group judging, Mojo was shortlisted for Group 1
honours but missed out to the highly acclaimed Akita. Another shortlisting for Group 2nd saw Mojo in the top four dogs
considered. Once again he narrowly missed out but was awarded Best Open in Utility Group. A few weeks later, at the Camden
A & H Show, Mojo was awarded Group 2nd to a Dogue De Bordeaux which had recently competed at the World Dog Show. |
